As soon as it opened, Paupio turgus became the main attraction for the residents of Vilnius. On July 1st, the music series The Rhythms of Paupys at the Market was launched with the participation of DJ MeCool. Visitors enjoyed the summer evening, marking the end of the lockdown, while listening to the rhythms of dance music.

Paupio turgus is currently one of the hippest news places in Vilnius. It’s not surprising that the music event attracted so many visitors. Even the most discerning food connoisseurs can find a new favourite among the 16 restaurants, 3 bars and 5 food stores. Visitors can enjoy breath-taking views of Vilnius Old Town and the picturesque surroundings of Paupio turgus.

Guests of the musical evening, some of them accompanied by their pets, enjoyed the dance mix by DJ MeCool. The spacious Paupio turgus accommodated the audience and still left room for dancing.

“The atmosphere of Paupio turgus allows visitors to relax and enjoy the long summer evenings that we’ve missed so much. The first event of the music series coincided with the end of lockdown. So it was an opportunity to go out, listen to live music, and enjoy food in a cosy environment. We hope that Paupys will continue to bring residents together – seeing people enjoying themselves and sharing experiences is a reward in itself,” Akvilė Liaudanskienė, Director of Corporate Affairs and Marketing at Darnu Group, said.

The Rhythms of Paupys at the Market hopes to promote the concept of #maistavimas experience, the essence of which is to show that eating is not just about nutrition, but also about fully experiencing taste, image, touch, and sound.

The Rhythms of Paupys at the Market will be held every Thursday in July. Events will be free of charge. Next week, the Orgen Roll Band takes to the stage, on July 15th – DJ Swix, and on July 22nd – Vilius Popendikis. A live concert by popular band Baltasis Kiras will end July’s programme.

“The bustle of visitors fills the spaces of Paupio turgus with life. We hope these regular events will continue to bring joy. It’s not buildings or places that make a city – it’s the people. As a real estate development organization, we try to create spaces for people to act freely. We are pleased to see this happening in Paupys,” Liaudanskienė explained.
